- The educational purpose of our Graduate Program in Applied Statistics is to develop human resources able to contribute to finding out the key problems in reality and solving them by drawing the necessary information that is obtained from collecting, organizing, and analyze data. Our curriculum consists of fundamental theories of statistics that form a basis for statistical applications, statistical methods that are essential for the solving of real problems, and computing methods for statistical data processing. We place a special emphasis on practice in statistics accompanied by the use of computers. Areas of teaching and research include official statistics, financial statistics, micro-marketing, data mining, and six sigma techniques, which are used in business administration. In addition, the training to develop the ability to communicate and present in English, which is necessary for global activities, is available according to the needs of students.
