Digital Forensic Research Center

Digital Forensics Research Center was established in 2003 as the first digital forensics research in Korea. Our research center mostly investigates effective and legal digital collection and analysis of evidence and court-submission techniques and procedures against computer crimes, infringements and accidents, while developing Korean-style computer forensic tools and digital integrated management systems.

Thanks to our research achievements in the digital forensics field, our research center signed MOU in terms of academy and technology with Digital Evidence Analysis Center, an affiliated organization of Cyber Terror Confrontation Center of National Police Agency, in 2004, and in the second half year of 2007, our Korean-style digital forensics investigation guideline and mobile phone forensic guideline, designed in association with Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, were chosen as the standard of TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association). In addition we lead the digital forensics area by the proceeding some opensource projects and take the honor of global digital forensics challenge.

 

Cyber Defense Research Center

Center for Cyber Security Policy (CCSP) was established in 2016 as the first specialized center for cyber security policy research and education in Korea. It carries out field- and future-oriented research with a vision of establishing itself as a leading global cyber security policy think-tank.

And it provides specialized and advanced cyber security policy education services and various consultation services like security consulting, legal advice, legislation.

CCSP is comprised of six policy research labs: Cyber Security Lab, Cyber Security Law and Policy Lab, Risk Management Lab, Financial IT Security Policy Lab, Personal Information Protection Lab and Cyber Peace and Human Rights Lab. Its research activities cover many topics and issues in cyber security policy area including national cyber security strategy, enterprise risk management, financial security policy, security industry policy, internet privacy policy, cybercrime and digital forensic related law, international cyber security cooperations, global cyber norms,
