    Dong-Eun Rhee is currently a Professor in Division of International Studies (and in Graduate School of International Studies) at Korea University, where he has taught full-time since 2015. 

     

    His major research field is macroeconomics, but he is interested in various socio-economic phenomena, ranging from macroeconomic policies, international capital flows, income inequality, environmental issues, to the educational issues in developing countries. Basically, the purpose of his research is to contribute to solving the world's problems by using economics as a tool, and to making the world a better place. 

     

    Professor Rhee received a Ph.D. in economics from Indiana University-Bloomington (2009), and the M.A. (2000) and B.A. (1998) in economics from Korea University.  Prior to joining the faculty member at Korea University, Dr. Rhee spent 5 years at Korea Institute of International Economic Policy (KIEP).
