Sunkyoung Park is an Associate Professor in the Division of Global Korean Studies at Korea University. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Politics at New York University. Prior to joining GKS, Dr. Park was an Associate Professor at Incheon National University. Her primary research interests are Korean politics, democracy, comparative authoritarianism, and historical legacies on the contemporary political outcomes. Her second research interests are political economy and political behaviors mostly in newly independent countries, with particular attention to East Asian countries.
